Audrey's Farmhouse

On this long weekend we went to a dog-friendly bed & breakfast near New Paltz, NY for a quick two night stay. You can read all about this place on Escape Brooklyn and And North, two sites that we've recently found in our newfound interest in exploring the Hudson Valley. In fact, go there for much better pictures of this upstate-dream of a place than the ones I was able to sneak in in between running around after Hux.

We spent Sunday on our first real hike, taking Huxley on a 6+ mile route that gave us lots of beautiful fall vistas and some gorgeous lake views.

Field + Supply

After hiking Minnewaska State Park we drove about 20 minutes to check out Field + Supply, a modern artisan craft fair that happened to be going on that weekend. We saw some familiar vendors from Brooklyn and even Charleston, had some snacks, and browsed the little we could before Huxley had really had enough and started to fuss to go back to the room - the little goober was really pooped!

Tantillo's Farm

Sally & Doug, the owners of Audrey's, had out these amazing cider donuts from Tantillo's so we stopped by the farm stand to take some home with us. We ended up with a dozen cider donuts, 1/2 gallon of cider, and a big white pumpkin.

Huxley took every opportunity to nap on the way home, still recovering from all the activity!
