We baked instead of going out last night, and I didn't miss the festivity or partying one bit. I love Halloween and all I wanted was to celebrate the day and the season and the moment in the year when the leaves are on the ground but not yet raked.
We made soft pretzels and watched football and still I got to work on time this morning. I hope this is the fall tradition we carry into the future with us, and perhaps next year there will be cider.
