The Montauk days are the best of the year. This year's was particularly active, though there was notably less drinking and partying. The town is changing, becoming more of a scene each year, and we are getting older too, more tired, more sun worn. I napped profusely, danced a little, and forced myself into the waters of the ocean and the pools because I don't know whether I'll see the sea again this year. There are events but no vacations on the horizon. That's all right. Busy is busy, and fun can be anywhere.
