Picasso Sculpture at the MoMA

We went to the MoMA on Friday right after work to see the Picasso Sculpture exhibit. It was bigger than I expected, many rooms by which the phases of his life and 3D-art life were partitioned. Amazing to see the pieces that were in open air, to get so close to them. We learned that Picasso only died in the 1970s and that he had a great sense of humor.

The museum visit started what would end up being a long night out for us. After the exhibit we went out to the sculpture garden, wonderfully moody at night in the scant lighting. With a beer and a glass of rosé, we enjoyed the cool breeze and the sound of running water coming from the fountain. It was amazing to end the week sitting there with buildings looming just outside of the garden walls.
