Sunset view

The Meatpacking District is beautiful and historic, made even more beautiful by the High Line. The quiet placement away from train stations and right on the water belies the shitshow that it becomes at night. I can't help but feel that there aren't many New Yorkers around me when I'm there.

No matter.

Last week I ventured into Meatpacking to see a friend on her birthday. There are so many people from college in this city and it's amazing how seldom we hang out. Jess celebrated at Le Bain on the roof of the Standard Hotel. I went after work and didn't stay long, but enjoyed hangin with my friend, the view of the water, the setting sun, and tried to forget where I was.
