Another weekend, another ice cream recipe! This Saturday we ventured out into the rain and bought gigantic organic beeeetz and poppy seeds to make the vibrantly pigmented confection below. We also peeled the zest of an entire orange into the making of this quart. In the weeks since we unwrapped the ice cream maker, we've learned a few things:
1) Light corn syrup is flavored with vanilla (we thought we'd bought the wrong kind)
2) Sorbet shouldn't be too aerated
3) A little bourbon goes a long way ;)
