This is the view from the roof of my office building. It looks out over the Brooklyn Bridge, and you can see the Manhattan Bridge too. This is the view I enjoyed my first year on the job, before construction on our floor sent me out of my office and into a cubicle. Construction is now complete, and we go back at the end of next week. While I'll be in my newly assembled cubicle, I'll still have the same view as before (if I stand up). While I loved the privacy of an office, these months spent on a bull-penned floor haven't been so bad. At least I'll be the first ever person to sit at that new desk.
