House hunting, week 2

In our second weekend of open houses, we visited six properties all over Brooklyn on this beautiful October day. A few were tiny, a few great. One had a rooftop with a nice wooden eating area at one end and a gentle slope and no handrails on the other. Another had a private patio, another had a cute kitchen nook with dollhouse burners. One defied two of our preferences (not on the first floor, not a railroad) but still it was a wonderful space with a gorgeous black stone kitchen counter.
