When the train doors open to my elevated subway and the cold air rushes in I always breathe deep. It isn't frozen yet, the wind, and right now the smell of faintly rotting foliage is so so welcome. Is crisp, sparkling, familiar.
I embraced this year's fall early on, and before I knew it set rules in my mind for beauty, such as trading bright lipsticks for nudes, nude nails for dark. MAC eyeshadow in Mulled Cider (shown below), a no brainier purchase from this time last year whose name pleases my soul, is now a daily, day and night. Big lashes, black liner. Easy hair.
Nothing better in this moment, and something better for November & December.
