It's the morning after a horrific storm, perhaps a tornado. The light in the sky is grey and blue, and the air is cool but heavy - great for taking pictures, bad for dispelling the feeling of gloom and doom after downed trees and fallen power lines.

But it's Friday, it's pay day, and tonight I have a birthday celebration to attend uptown.
